Successful procedures of local governments in the field of quality of public administration have been officially awarded by the CZ Minister of Interior. Within the framework of the 7th National Conference of Quality in Public Administration in Chrudim, there was an awarding ceremony of the Ministry of Interior's Prizes for Quality and Innovation in Public Administration for 2010. Members of the Healthy Cities of the Czech Republic were very successful - they won two out of three "Prizes for Innovation" and a number of bronze and silver "Prizes for Quality in Public Administration" among others for realisation of Local Agenda 21, i.e. for practical employment of sustainable development principles and active collaboration of municipalities with the public.
Silver Prize for the quality in public administration for LA21 realisation was won by the Healthy Cities Chrudim, Litomerice, Koprivnice, Vsetin and Healthy City District Prague-Libus. Silver Prize for other methods of quality in public administration was won by the Healthy Cities Ceská Lipa (ISO 9001), Chrudim (model CAF 2006/2009) and Strakonice (model CAF 2006/2009). Bronze Prize for application of LA21 was received by the representatives of the Healthy Cities Hlucin, Letovice, Ricany, Prachatice and Usti nad Labem, Bronze Prize for other methods of quality in public administration was received by the representatives of the Healthy Cities Chrudim (EMAS), Prestice (ISO 9001), Tabor (BMK). The prize for innovation in public administration for 2010 was won by the Healthy Cities Prachatice (setting up an advisory board of disabled and seniors as a means of city authorities' efficient communication with the public) and Vsetin (processing of Vsetin's dynamic strategic city plan using the Balance Scorecard Method).
